Rental Property Insurance

Do you own a house and currently renting it out to tenants?

Usually when you rent out your house, you need to have the correct type of insurance policy to cover your rental home properly. Do you have any of your personal belongings inside your rental home? Some names for these types of insurance policy's are called Landlord insurance policy's or DP3. Check with your California Insurance Agent to make sure that you have the correct type of home insurance policy.

If you are renting out your house, it's important that your tenants have their own renters insurance to cover their personal belongings. Renters insurance can be very affordable to give piece of mind for your possessions.

Some ways to save on your insurance:

  • Go with a higher deductible - most insurance company's will give you a discount for having a high deductible.
  • New Home Discount - some insurance company's will give you a credit for having a new home or recently renovated home.
  • Auto/Home Discount - by having your car insurance and home insurance with the same insurance company you may get a discount on not only your car insurance, but with your home insurance too.

Check with your local San Diego Insurance Agent for additional discounts or questions.
